Keywords: Interactive simulation, computer, solids, 4th grade of elementary school

At 4th Grade of Elementary School, some certain subjects in Mathematics need more efforts for students, either the teachers or the trainers to do learning activities. One of the subjects is the subject about solids cube and tetrahedron in which is one of its discussion (discussion of cube and tetrahedron nets) pursues the students intuitively to imagine how a net of cube and tetrahedron shaped. Moreover, this subject demands the teachers to use media which is the usage is neither effective nor efficient. The alternative solution to solve the problem is by using learning media of computer assisted interactive simulation. Computers, which its existence nowadays becomes more sophisticated and reached by almost ordinary people, are easier to be applied in learning. That is why, this thesis’ objective is to develop a packet of Computer Assisted Interactive Simulation at Solids Subject Cube and Tetrahedron for 4th Grade of Elementary School.

This interactive simulation program consists of subjects about cube and tetrahedron, interactive simulation finding a net of cube or tetrahedron, and some exercise questions. The advantage of this program is the ability of making the users with simulative approach to find the net of cube and tetrahedron. This simulation interactive program is developed with a computer which the specification is minimally processor 800 MHz, RAM 256 MB, monitor VGA, and 200 MB free space of hard disk. The software that used is Macromedia® FlashTM MX 2004 (version 7), and also supported with third-party software Electric Rain® Swift3DTM.

The programs that have been produced are integrated in a compact disc (CD) so that can be generally used in schools or personally by the students at home. This program can be operated on a computer with Microsoft® WindowsTM 98 operating system or the later version, supported with processor 450 MHz, RAM 128 MB, monitor VGA, 15 MB free space of hard disk.
The suggestion which can be given to the students is to be able to operate this program as the sources and model of learning. For the teachers and other trainers, it is suggested that they be able to use this program as the references model of learning of Mathematics. And for the researchers, it is suggested to make farther development through the others Mathematics subjects, so in the future will be produced the better similar programs.
