These is glossary of research key terms. This glossary is intended as an aid to professionals and non-professionals who find the world of research somewhat intimidating. While it is impossible to cover all the terms that can be confusing, this document briefly defines some of the more common terms and concepts.

Term Definition
Research methodSpecific procedures used to gather and analyse research data.
 
Research methodology
Different approaches to systematic inquiry developed within a particular paradigm with associated epistemological assumptions (e.g. experimental research, grounded theory, ethnomethodology).
 
Research question
A clear statement in the form of a question of the specific issue that a researcher wishes to answer in order to address a research problem. A research problem is an issue that lends itself to systematic investigation through research.
 
Resensi
Resensi adalah pertimbangan atau pembicaraan tentang buku, ulasan buku, membuat buku-buku baru terbit. Buku yang mempunyai resensi yang baik didalamnya terdapat suatu jawaban dari semua pertanyaan yang muncul dari si pembaca.
 
Response rateThe proportion (percentage) of those invited to participate in a research study who actually do so.
 
Row percentsPercentages in a table that add across to 100 percent.
 
Rule for computing percents
If the independent variable is the column variable, the percents should sum down to 100; if the independent variable is the row variable, the percents should sum across to 100.
