somewhat intimidating. While it is impossible to cover all the terms
that can be confusing, this document briefly defines some of the more

| Quota sampling | 1. a non-probability sampling strategy where the researcher identifies the various strata of a population and ensures that all these strata are proportionately represented within the sample to increase its representativeness. 2. A sampling scheme similar to stratified sampling in which you first divide the population into classes (such as males and females) and then obtain a haphazard sample within each class. |
